Migration Doctor for Jira Cloud
After a Jira Data Center to Cloud migration, configuration can arrive broken without any error: filters that still name Data Center users and return nothing, filters and dashboards JCMA did not migrate, workflow validators that arrived empty, permission schemes pointing at groups that do not exist. Migration Doctor compares a snapshot of your Data Center configuration with your Jira Cloud site, lists what broke, and fixes filters with a preview of every change.

Checks
| ID | Check | Severity | Mode |
|---|---|---|---|
| FLT-01 | Filter missing in Cloud | High | Repair |
| FLT-02 | Filter JQL uses Data Center usernames | High | Repair |
| FLT-03 | Filter references a missing field, status or project | High | Report |
| DSH-01 | Dashboard missing in Cloud | Medium | Report |
| WFL-01 | Empty workflow condition, validator or post function | High | Report |
| WFL-02 | Workflow rules or transitions lost in migration | High | Report |
| PRM-01 | Permission scheme references a missing group | High | Report |
| USR-01 | Data Center user without a Cloud account | Medium | Report |
| FLD-01 | Custom field missing or with a different type | Medium | Report |
Each finding has a severity and a confidence. When the app cannot be sure, for example because Cloud hides other users' private dashboards from admins, it says so and lowers the confidence instead of raising an alarm.
Safety rules
- Nothing changes without a preview and your approval.
- Repairs only create. Migration Doctor never deletes or overwrites anything in your site: a corrected filter is a new copy next to the original.
- Every repair is written to a change log with the values before and after.
- The app never changes workflows; it only reads them.
